B R Yavagal Biography

Basavaraddi Rangaraddi Yavagal is briefly known as B. R. Yavagal, who is a former MLA from Naragund assembly constituency, Karnataka. He also served as the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayat Raj and the minister for State Housing in the Government of Karnataka.
Prior to that, Yavagal enrolled himself as an Advocate with Karnataka Bar Council in 1971 and practiced law majorly in public interest litigations concerning farmers issues. The politician also led farmers' movement known as Naragund Bandaya, moreover, became the President of the ‘Malaprabha Pradesha Raithara Horata Samiti’ in 1980.
At the present time, Yavagal is placed for the coming assembly election 2023 from the Nargund constituency by INC.
