J&K polls: BJP candidate Hina Bhat slaps polling officer
Srinagar, Dec 13: Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) candidate Hina Bhat has been reportedly assaulted by National Conference workers at a polling station in Srinagar.
Reports said Hina Bhat, who is contesting from Amira Kadal constituency, visited a polling centre in Methan Lal Nagar to review polling where she slapped a polling officer. [Live: Jharkhand, J&K assembly elections]
While talking to a news channel, Bhat said, "Elections are not going peacefully, everyone is corrupt. I won't apologise for my action."
The move angered NC workers present at the polling centre. Bhat has taken refuge inside the polling centre after facing the wrath of angered political workers of the ruling party. [PM Narendra Modi is the most misunderstood person in Kashmir: Hina Bhat]
NC workers are chanting anti-BJP slogans. Security has been called in rescue the BJP candidate.

me.
