G20 Delegates Enjoy Shikara Ride In Dal Lake
The delegates of the G20 summit had a delightful experience as they embarked on a serene shikara ride across the enchanting Dal Lake in Srinagar on Monday. More than 60 delegates are participating in the third G20 Tourism Working Group meeting, which commenced on Monday and is scheduled to run until May 24.
The G20 delegates were warmly welcomed upon their arrival in Srinagar, where they were greeted with traditional hospitality. They then proceeded to the Sheri Kashmir International Convention Centre, located on the banks of the picturesque Dal Lake, the venue for the momentous meeting.

The G20 Tourism Working Group meeting in Srinagar holds significant importance as it marks the first high-profile international gathering to be held in Kashmir since the abrogation of Article 370 on August 5, 2019. The event showcases the region's growing prominence and its potential to contribute to global tourism discussions.
However, strict security arrangements have been put in place to ensure the smooth conduct of the meeting and the safety of all participants. The authorities are leaving no stone unturned in their efforts to create a secure environment for the G20 delegates during their stay in Srinagar.

The shikara ride on Dal Lake served as a serene interlude, allowing the delegates to immerse themselves in the natural beauty and tranquility of the surroundings. The delegates appreciated the unique experience and the opportunity to witness firsthand the splendor of the Dal Lake, a jewel of Kashmir's scenic landscape.
The G20 Tourism Working Group meeting aims to foster collaboration and exchange ideas on promoting sustainable and inclusive tourism practices worldwide. As the delegates engage in discussions and deliberations, the enchanting setting of Srinagar and the memorable shikara ride on Dal Lake contribute to the overall experience, adding a touch of Kashmiri charm to the global summit.
