Srinagar, Nov 9: As Jammu and Kashmir is all set to hold assembly election in November, the BJP has nominated Hina Bhat from Amira Kadal constituency, the daughter of former National Conference leader Mohammad Shafi Bhat.

As per a report published in TOI, 35-year-old Hina Bhat is the only Kashmiri Muslim woman to get a ticket in Jammu and Kashmir so far.

Hina quit her job as a dental surgeon at the SKIMS medical college a few years ago to do social work and to join politics.

While talking to the TOI, Hina revealed that why she joined the BJP and said that the "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is the most misunderstood person in Kashmir, but he has a better vision for the country's development and equally for the Kashmir valley".

She also said that the ruling National conference, PDP and Congress, have failed the people of J&K and never provided good governance.

While exuding confidence in Modi's sincerity towards Kashmir, Hina said that she believes that BJP's image of 'anti-Muslim' in Kashmir valley will soon fade away.

"I will prove that I have taken the right decision when the valley reaches new heights of development and progress," she was quoted as saying.

Hina had joined BJP in July this year and her one of the main agendas is to focus on the development of Kashmiri youth.

On last Sunday, Nov 2, the BJP in J&K had released the first list of 45 candidates out of which 13 were Muslims candidates including a woman Hina Bhat.
