Russian Foreign Ministry condemns terrorist attacks in Assam

Moscow, Oct 31 (UNI) Russian Foreign Ministry today strongly condemned the terrorist attacks in Assam.

''The Russian Foreign Ministry resolutely condemns the terrorist acts. There can be no justification for them. The criminals must be severely punished for what they did,'' the Ministry said in a statement.

''We express our condolences to the families and friends of those killed and sincere sympathies and wishes for the soonest recovery of those injured,'' it said.

Earlier, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev in a telegram to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had also condemned the terrorist acts.
