Differences in Maoists alliance parties
Kathmandu, Aug 17 (UNI) The alliance of the Maoists, UML and MJF has not been able to allocate ministerial portfolios due to the differences among the alliance parties.
According to the agreement, the Maoists will have 9 ministries including Defence and Finance, UML 6 including Home Affairs and MJF 4 including Information and Communications.
However, the parties have not been able to allocate other ministries as the MJF has demanded deputy prime minister and foreign affairs, a senior leader of the alliance said.
If there is no appropriate distribution of the ministerial portfolio, the party will not join the government but support from outside, senior leaders of the MJF have said.
The task force of the three parties could not finalise the allocation of portfolio which will be discussed in the senior level of the party, it is said.
Likewise, Nepal Sadbhavana Party chairman Rajendra Mahato has said that the party will not join the government if the agreements with the Madhesi parties have not been implemented.
UML, MJF, Terai Madhes Loktantrik Party, Nepal Sadbhavana Party, CPN, ML and Royalist party of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal among others had supported the Maoists during the voting for prime minister on Friday.
