Army recovers arms in J&K

AK-47 rifles, hand grenades, motor bombs and pistols were recovered by the Army. Had these arms and ammunition landed in the wrong hands, it could've caused a huge problem ahead of the elections.

Earlier news reports had suggested that militants had threatened to disrupt elections in Jammu and Kashmir. With this recovery of arms, the Army said that the hideout was used by transient terrorists as a safe hiding place.

The Army has now been put on high alert as the assembly elections will kickoff from Nov 25.
