Prime Minister Narendra Modi, in a statement on X, said that he is extremely saddened to learn about the tragic news of a boat accident involving Indian nationals.
He said, My sincere condolences to the families who lost their loved ones. My prayers for the early recovery of the injured survivors.

Visuals from the scene showed the boat overturned in choppy water, with rescuers searching for survivors and bodies placed on the shore.
