Ghaziabad Horror: 7-Year-Old Girl Allegedly Raped, Murdered; Body Found In Under-Construction Mall Basement

The shocking incident has shaken the Uttar Pradesh after a seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped and murdered in Ghaziabad. Her Body was found in the basement of an underconstruction mall in Raj Nagar Exptension. The incident has turned a shocking wave all over the locality, Police has launched the investigation in the matter and arrested multiple suspects.

Post-Mortem Confirms Sexual Assault

The body was sent for post-mortem and according to post-mortem report, the child was raped before murdering her. Doctors have said that the primary cause of death was sevre head injury. The girl was also found with multiple fractures all over the body making a suspect of being thrown from a upper floor to the construction building.

The body of the girl was found during the morning of Saturday from the basement of the mall, near Nandgram Police station. However, the investigation is still going on and the exact sequence of events have not confirmed yet.

Police Detain Several Suspects

The victim's family has registered a complaint and Police filed an FIR under the charges of Rape, Murder, Kidnapping and POCSO Act. The Police said five suspects have been detained for questioning and two other suspects are missing. Police is investigating the CCTV footage from the local area and also analysing forensic evidences collected from the incident place to identify more involved in it.

Family Had Been Searching Since Friday

Victim's maternal uncle said that they child was missing from Friday evening and they started searching for the child since then. Noticeably, victim's parents works as labourers at the same construction site and lives there in temporary shelters. Child's body was eventually found in the unfinished structure.

Police have doubt that the victim may have been thrown from the third floor to the crime scene, although the police said that they are investigation on the based theory. The incident has triggered angst among the local residents and they attempt to attack security guard posted at the location. However, to control the situation the police has deployed some of its men.

Public Outrage As Investigation Continues

Media outlet NDTV quoted DCR Rural Surendra Nath saying, "We received information around 1:00 am on July 11 that the body of a young girl was lying inside the under-construction mall. A police team from Nandgram Police Station immediately reached the spot. Senior officers also visited the crime scene to supervise the investigation. An FSL team examined the site and collected forensic evidence."

According to ACP Nandgram Priyashree Pal the police immediately acted after recieving the information from the public and collected all the forensic evidences. She said that FIR has been lodged after basis complaint from family and several suspects have been arrested.
