UP Government Announces Rs 1 Lakh Grant For Kailash Mansarovar Pilgrims, Online Application Process Begins

The Uttar Pradesh government has announced an financial scheme to the public who have completed their Kailash Mansarovar Yatra successfully. The government has launched an online process under the scheme and eligible pilgrims will get Rs 1 Lakh from the state government. This initiative has been taken to encourage Hinduism's most revered pilgrim site.

Eligible Pilgrims Can Apply Within 90 Days

According to the guidelines issued by the state government, only eligible pilgrims who have completed their Kailash Mansarovar Yatra can apply for the financial scheme, the application must be submitted within 90 days from the day they completed their journey.

This financial scheme has been initiated by the Department of Religious Affairs (Dharmarth Karya Department). The eligible pilgrims can apply through the official website after competing their registration process.

What Documents Required For The Grant

The eligible pilgrims will need to apply multiple documents through online application. They have to upload, passport-size photograph, Aadhaar card, PAN card, domicile certificate, copies of their passport and visa, bank account details, also Kailash Mansarovar Yatra completion certificate. Also any specific document asked by the department.

Only the pilgrims who will complete the documentations and submit it under the time limit will only be grant the financial scheme.

2026 Yatra Batch Now Eligible To Apply

The first team of the 2026 Kailash Mansarovar Yatra was department from Indirapuram, Ghaziabad on 15 June and returned on 2 July after successfully completed the pilgrimage.

The members from this batch who meet the eligibility can also apply for the state's Rs 1 lakh financial help through the online website.

Another Group Departs For Kailash Mansarovar Via Nepal

On the other hand, another groupl from Bahraich has already begun his Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, leaving from Bliss Resort to Nepal. The pilgrims were welcomed with Vedic Mantra and tilak before they started the journey. The group has devotees from Mumbai, Meerut, Khatauli, and Rishikesh.
