T20 World Cup 2024: India Great Gives Big Statement On Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam

After Pakistan made it exit from ICC T20 World Cup 2024 in a humiliating manner, former cricketers came out heavily on skipper Babar Azam. India Great K Srikkanth on Sunday said that Babar Azam should not play T20 cricket anymore.

In a recent interview, Srikkanth questioned Babar Azam's batting approach, his strike rate, and decisions he made throughout the tournament that resulted in Pakistan's defeat against the USA, and India.

Notably, Pakistan was knocked out of the tournament after the USA's last fixture against Ireland got washed.

"I don't think Babar should play T20 cricket. I mean you can't do this tuk-tuking all the time in T20 cricket. They say Babar scored 4,000 runs like Virat or Rohit, but his strike rate is only 112-115 what are you talking about?," Srikkanth said in a chat show on Star Sports.

Babar Azam surpassed Virat Kohli's record of 4037 runs in the T20 World Cup in 110 innings. Babar Azam now tops the list with 4113 runs at an average of 40.72 and a strike rate of 129.46. His record is studded with 3 centuries and 36 half-centuries.
