Plane Crashes Into New York's East River With 10 People On Board, Watch

A seaplane with 10 people onboard crashed into New Yourk City's East River on Sunday afternoon. The aircraft made a hard landing in the river before partially overturning and the rescue team rushed to the scene.

Videos shared online showed the plane floating in the water with one of its wings submerged while emergency boats surrounded the aircraft. A rescue helicopter was also seen hovering above the scene as officials worked to safely evacuate everyone on board.

Emergency Teams Launch Quick Rescue Operation

The incident took place around 12pm when the police officers, firefighters and other emergency responders quickly reached the location to begin the rescue efforts.
Several video of the scene captured where multiple rescue boats surrounding the damage plane and the plane looks like a bird with its wing yet to drown.

Soon after the incident several videos of the incident went viral. Despite the damage to the plane the rescuers were on time to evacuate the passengers on board and taken to the emergency personnel.

The exact reason for the hard landing has not yet been confirmed.

Investigation Underway

The investigation is underway with no clear reasons of the crash or the passengers on board with the pilot. Hence it remains unclear that if any one has suffered serious injuries in the accident.
