Mumbai Weather Alert: Prepare For Cloudy Skies And Unpredictable Rainfall This Week

According to the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), the weather for today, September 17, will be generally cloudy with light rain or drizzle. The temperature is expected to range from a low of 24 to a high of 32 degrees Celsius. The sunrise is expected at 6:26 AM, and the sunset will be at 6:39 PM.

The tide timings and levels, according to tide-forecast.com, are as follows:

High tide will occur at 11:19 AM with a height of 4.53 metres and again at 11:36 PM with a height of 4.33 metres. Low tide will occur at 4:53 AM with a height of 0.62 metres and again at 5:30 PM with a height of 0.74 metres.

On September 18, the weather is expected to feature rain or thundershowers, which will likely occur towards the evening or night.

On September 19, the sky will be generally cloudy with light rain or drizzle throughout the day.

On September 20, the weather will be generally cloudy with light rain.

On September 22, the forecast predicts rain for the entire day.

Mumbai Lakes Water Level

Mumbai's drinking water supply is now secure, with the city's seven reservoirs reaching 98.71 per cent of their total capacity. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) confirmed this on Monday morning, ensuring that the city will have sufficient water for the coming months.

According to the latest data from the BMC, the reservoirs collectively hold 14,28,697 million litres of water, which is nearly full. The reservoirs include Tulsi, Tansa, Vihar, Bhatsa, Modak Sagar, Upper Vaitarna, and Middle Vaitarna, all of which supply water to Mumbai.

Currently, the water levels in each lake are as follows: Modak Sagar, Vihar, and Tulsi have reached full capacity at 100 per cent. Middle Vaitarna is at 99.20 per cent, Upper Vaitarna at 98.51 per cent, Bhatsa at 98.43 per cent, and Tansa at 98.29 per cent.
