Bomb Threats At Mumbai Taj Hotel And Airport

Mumbai Police received a bomb threat on Monday targeting Taj Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Airport. The call was to the police control room in the afternoon. The caller claimed bombs were placed at these locations before disconnecting.

Police took the threat seriously, conducting searches at both sites. However, no suspicious items were found. Authorities confirmed the threat originated from Uttar Pradesh, and efforts to locate the caller are ongoing.

Delhi Colleges Receive Bomb Threats

This incident follows similar threats made to several Delhi colleges. On May 23, over a dozen institutions, including Lady Sri Ram College, Hansraj College, and Ramjas College, received bomb threats. However, thorough searches by authorities revealed nothing suspicious.

A Delhi Fire Service official reported receiving the first threat call at 4:38 pm. Fire tenders were dispatched to LSR College. Local police, bomb disposal, and detection teams, along with dog squads, were also mobilised.

Emails with the subject "Bomb in the University" were sent to multiple colleges. The sender's address was "[email protected]," associated with Europe-based "beeble.com." This service has been used for similar threats in Delhi and other parts of India.

Threat Content and Response

The email stated, "There's a bomb inside of your university, but also inside of every Delhi University. Blood will scatter everywhere, and we will slit your families' throats as well." The mail claimed the group "Terrorizer111" was behind the threats.

Police searched all affected campuses, finding nothing suspicious. In recent weeks, bomb threat emails have targeted various establishments, including schools, hospitals, and the Home Ministry's North Block.
