Melania Trump to miss G7 & Donald-Kim summits this month
US First Lady Melania Trump, who was last seen in public on May 10, four days before she was hospitalised for kidney treatment, is set to miss a series of high-profile presidential engagements with her husband Donald Trump, including the much-awaited June 12 summit with North Korean Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un in Singapore.

On Sunday, June 3, the White House said Melania will skip the G7 summit in Quebec, Canada, on June 8 and 9 besides the Kim summit. On Friday, June 1, it also said that Melania would not be joining President Trump during his trip to Camp David presidential retreat in Maryland this weekend.
Melania has regularly accompanied her husband to big occasions and earned praise for playing a perfect host to French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte during the Trump administration's first state honour organised in late April. She underwent a kidney operation on May 14 and was released five days later. She hasn't been seen since and also there has been a lot of Sherlock Holmes-like speculation over her tweets informing about her good health.
One of Melania's tweet posted on Wednesday, May 30, said the media was "working overtime" to know where she was and how she was doing. The Twitterati smelled suspense and said the tweet, under all likelihood, was not composed by the first lady.
A White House press schedule issued on Sunday, however, also said that the first lady was set to attend a Memorial Day reception organised in honour of Gold Star families with President Trump on Monday though CNN reported that the media will not be allowed at the event and hence photographs of the first lady's reappearance in public could still take some time to surface.
