Speeding Audi In Noida Hits And Kills Man In Fatal Early Morning Accident [Video]

In a tragic incident early Sunday morning in Noida, a local resident lost his life after being struck by a speeding Audi car. The victim, identified as Janak Dev Sah, was reportedly thrown into the air due to the impact. The white Audi responsible for the accident has not been located, and efforts to trace the driver are ongoing, according to senior police officials.

The accident occurred around 6:30 am under circumstances described by the police as swift and negligent driving. Pradeep, the son of the deceased and a resident near Gijhor village, reported the incident to the Sector 24 police station. Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Noida, Manish Mishra, confirmed that an FIR was filed promptly, initiating legal proceedings including a post-mortem examination. Authorities are currently reviewing CCTV footage to identify the vehicle involved, with multiple police teams dedicated to solving the case.

This incident is not isolated in Noida's recent history. On May 16, another road accident claimed two lives, including a nurse, when an e-rickshaw was hit by a BMW driven by a minor. In that case, two individuals were detained by the police while a third accomplice escaped. An FIR was also registered for this incident.

Gautam Buddh Nagar district, encompassing Noida and Greater Noida cities, has seen a significant number of road accidents in 2023. Official statistics reveal that there have been 1,176 road crashes this year alone, resulting in 470 fatalities and injuring another 858 individuals. This marks an increase from 2022, which recorded 437 deaths and 856 injuries from road accidents.
