As per the candidate list, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot is set to contest from Sardarpura, Sachin Pilot will vie for victory in Tonk, CP Joshi will represent Nathdwara, Divya Maderna will contest from Osian, Govind Singh Dotasara is fielded from Lachhmangarh, and Krishna Poonia is the candidate from Sadulpur.

The Rajasthan elections are scheduled for November 25, with the vote count taking place on December 3. In Rajasthan, where a direct electoral battle between the Congress and the Bharatiya Janata Party is anticipated, anti-incumbency has played a crucial role. Since 1993, when the BJP came to power after a period of President's rule, the state has seen a back-and-forth between the Congress and the BJP.

In the 2018 Assembly polls, the Congress secured 100 seats, followed by the BJP with 73 seats, and the BSP with 6 seats. Other parties such as the Rashtriya Loktantrik Party (RLP), the Communist Party of India (Marxist), and the Bhartiya Tribal Party (BTP) won 3 seats each. The Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) secured a single seat, while there were 13 independent candidates in the 2018 Assembly Elections.
