Highlighting the state’s development journey, the Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Uttarakhand is moving rapidly on the path of progress. He informed that the state’s economy is expected to reach approximately ₹3.78 lakh crore in 2024–25, with a significant rise in per capita income.

He added that the state has witnessed unprecedented growth in its budget and a historic decline in the unemployment rate. Rapid development of modern infrastructure is underway in education, health, roads, sports, drinking water, and air and rail connectivity.

Tourism, Infrastructure and Investment Get New Momentum

The Chief Minister said Uttarakhand is being developed as a global hub for religious tourism, wellness, adventure tourism, film shooting and destination weddings. Projects such as the Rishikesh–Karnaprayag rail line, Delhi–Dehradun Expressway, ropeway projects and airport expansion are accelerating development. Winter tourism initiatives are also promoting year-round tourism.

He said Uttarakhand has achieved significant success in grounding investment proposals received through the Global Investors Summit. With a single-window system and new industrial and startup policies, the state has emerged as an attractive investment destination.

Uttarakhand’s Policies Becoming a National Model

The Chief Minister said initiatives such as One District–Two Products, House of Himalayas, Millet Mission, and new tourism and film policies are strengthening local livelihoods. Uttarakhand’s performance in national and international rankings reflects transparent, effective and participatory governance.

He added that the state government remains committed to development while preserving cultural values, social harmony and demographic balance. Uttarakhand’s policies and innovations are increasingly becoming a model for other states and contributing meaningfully to the vision of Developed India–2047.

PRSI National Award and Dignitaries Present

On this occasion, Additional Secretary and Director General of Information Banshidhar Tiwari was honoured by PRSI with a national award for excellence in good governance. The event was attended by Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal, Cabinet Minister Ganesh Joshi, Swami Chidanand Muni of Parmarth Niketan, PRSI National President Ajit Pathak, Dehradun Chapter President Ravi Bijarniya, Russian delegates Mikhail Maslov, Davydenko Yulia and Anna Talanina, along with public relations and communication professionals from across the country.
