Passport office to hold 'Passport Mela' this week in TN

Chennai, April 6: Encouraged by the patronage of applicants, the Regional Passport office here would hold the second edition of Passport Mela this week in Chennai.

"The Mela to be held at two passport seva kendra centres at Aminjikarai and Saligramam (in Chennai) is to meet the public demand and facilitate submission of applications while reducing the appointment cycle to minimum level," an official release said.

The passport mela held in March had benefitted 435 applicants, it added. Applicants need to register at www.passportindia.gov.in for booking appointments and they need to produce the Application Registration Number along with necessary documents.
