Sachin Pilot Clarifies No Connection Between Abusive Speaker and Congress Party Amidst BJP Outrage

Congress general secretary Sachin Pilot stated that the individual who used offensive language against Prime Minister Narendra Modi at a Voter Adhikar Rally in Bihar is not affiliated with the party. This statement follows strong reactions from the BJP, including the Prime Minister's expression of deep pain over the incident.

Pilot emphasised that if someone is found guilty, they should face consequences, but he cautioned against excessive politicisation of the matter. He remarked, "We belong to a Congress party with a 130-year legacy of values, discipline, and restraint. We condemn the use of such language. I strongly denounce anyone making such remarks about anyone."

Focus on Development and Governance

The Congress leader highlighted that the person accused of using inappropriate language has no connection with their party. He stressed that if someone takes the stage and makes such statements, appropriate action should be taken against them. Pilot also shifted attention to the upcoming Bihar elections, urging discussions on development issues.

Pilot pointed out that Nitish Kumar has been Bihar's chief minister for many years and should address governance-related questions. He mentioned that Kumar has led a coalition government, and details of its performance should be examined. The Congress leader called for election debates to concentrate on pressing issues like unemployment and investment.
