This announcement was made during a rally where he also criticised the opposition for inadequate law and order and infrastructure issues.

Reflecting on his tenure, Nitish Kumar highlighted the progress made in Bihar over the past two decades. He noted that before his leadership, the state faced severe challenges in law and order, education, and infrastructure. He claimed that his administration has transformed Bihar with better roads, electricity, and peace.

Political Landscape and Upcoming Elections

The upcoming Bihar elections in 2025 will see a major contest between two alliances. The National Democratic Alliance (NDA) comprises the Bharatiya Janata Party, Janata Dal (United), Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas), Hindustani Awam Morcha (Secular), and Rashtriya Lok Morcha. On the other hand, the Mahagathbandhan is led by the Rashtriya Janata Dal and includes the Congress party, CPI-ML, CPI, CPM, and VIP.

Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj is also in the fray, contesting all 243 seats in the state. The polling for the Bihar 2025 elections is scheduled for November 6 and 11, with results expected on November 14.

Employment and Development Initiatives

During his address, Nitish Kumar emphasised that his government has already provided jobs to 50 lakh youth. He stated, "...A total of 50 lakh youth have been given government jobs. We have decided that in the next 5 years we will provide jobs to 1 crore youth..." This commitment underscores his focus on employment and development in Bihar.

Nitish Kumar also recalled the previous administration's shortcomings, where people were hesitant to leave their homes after dark due to societal conflicts. He contrasted this with the current atmosphere of love, brotherhood, and peace, attributing these changes to his government's efforts.

The Chief Minister's remarks highlight his administration's achievements and future plans for Bihar's development. As the state prepares for elections, these initiatives are likely to be central to his campaign.
