16th PM-Kisan Installment Released By PM Modi: Steps To Check Status Online At pmkisan.gov.in
During his visit to Yavatmal, Maharashtra, Prime Minister Narendra Modi marked a significant milestone in agricultural support by releasing the 16th instalment of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM-KISAN) scheme. With a total worth exceeding Rs 21,000 crore, this instalment aims to benefit over 9 crore farmers across the nation.
Implemented through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), the scheme ensures the seamless transfer of funds directly into the bank accounts of eligible farmer-beneficiaries. This latest release underscores the government's commitment to empowering farmers and bolstering the agricultural sector.

eKYC: Streamlining Access to Benefits
To facilitate smoother disbursement of benefits, the PM-KISAN website outlines three methods for conducting eKYC (electronic Know Your Customer) for registered farmers. Acknowledging the mandatory requirement of eKYC for PM-KISAN registered farmers, the options include OTP-based eKYC through the PM-KISAN portal or availing biometric-based eKYC services at nearby Common Service Centres (CSCs).
Empowering Farmers Through Technology
Recognizing the importance of Aadhaar linkage to bank accounts for seamless transactions, the government emphasizes the need for eKYC and Aadhaar seeding. To simplify the process, a mobile application featuring facial authentication-based e-KYC has been developed by the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare. This innovative solution enables farmers to complete their e-KYC conveniently from their homes and assist fellow farmers in their communities.
Enhanced Accessibility and Support
In addition to technological advancements, the PM-KISAN AI Chatbot (Kisan e-Mitra) serves as a comprehensive support platform for addressing farmers' concerns and grievances regarding the PM-KISAN program. Available in multiple languages including Bengali, Hindi, Tamil, Odia, and English, the chatbot provides voice and text assistance, enhancing accessibility and inclusivity.
Seamless Verification Process
Checking eligibility and verifying one's inclusion in the beneficiary list is made hassle-free through the PM-KISAN official website. By navigating to the 'Beneficiary list' tab and selecting specific details such as state, district, sub-district, block, and village, farmers can easily access the beneficiary list details with a simple click.
In essence, the PM-KISAN scheme stands as a testament to the government's steadfast commitment to the welfare and prosperity of farmers, ensuring they receive timely support and recognition for their invaluable contributions to the nation's agricultural landscape.
