Tamil Nadu assembly elections 2016: List of participating parties

The Tamil Nadu Assembly elections 2016 has a number of surprises stored for us. However, while there are no major overhauls in the main parties participating in the polls, there are quite a few that are not participating this year.

Here is a list of participating political parties (courtesy the Election Commission of India) -National, State and unregistered, with their acronyms and expansions.

This will help the readers to get an entire picture of the polls and follow the winning/non winning seats meticulously:
