Corporate espionage: This is what was leaked

Preliminary investigations in the Corporate Espionage case have found that the papers that were leaked included secret documents on ONGC Videsh and also the Finance Minister's Budget speech on the National Gas Grid. [Documents are related to national security, say cops]

There are several more papers that have been leaked and in the days to come more information on the same will be obtained a crime branch officer of the Delhi police informed Oneindia.

The leaked papers that were recovered:

The Petroleum ministry had sent inputs to the Finance Ministry regarding the National Gas Grid. There were two pages of these inputs that were found with the accused persons.

These were inputs suggested by the petroleum ministry which may have been used by the Finance Minister in his upcoming budget speech. The accused had managed to get their hands on the same.

The other paper was relating to a plan for the ONGC. There was a paper that was marked 'secret' which was procured by the accused persons. This paper was pertaining to a plan called ONGC Videsh.

Expansion in Sri Lanka:

The accused persons had also managed to lay their hands on a plan of the government on expanding in Sri Lanka. This was a plan of the petroleum ministry which was marked confidential.

The monthly gas report a notice for an important meeting on exploration were also part of the information and documents that the accused managed to lay their hands on.

The investigators also found a letter written by the principal secretary to the prime minister.

Many more documents leaked:

The documents that were recovered are just a tip of the ice berg officials say. This has been going on for so many years now and there are many more documents to be recovered.

The manner in which these corporates used these papers to their advantage is also part of the probe. It has been found that these corporate houses positioned themselves and planned strategy as per the information they got out of the ministry.
