Oil Ministry leak: Documents found from accused related to national security, say cops

New Delhi, Feb 21: The Delhi Police on Saturday said the papers found from the five corporate executives arrested in connection with the Oil Ministry leak case are related to "national security". The Crime Branch of Delhi Police produced the five accused before the Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Sanjay Khanagwal and sought their custodial interrogation for a period of five days.

RIL's Shailesh Saxena, Essar's Vinay Kumar, KK Naik from Cairns, Jubilant Energy's Subhash Chandra and Reliance ADAG's Rishi Anand were produced before the court.

The five accused were acquiring crucial documents at the behest of their senior officials, said Delhi Police.
Stressing that the matter is not simple, the police also told the court that they would have to consult the concerned ministries regarding the documents that have been recovered from the accused persons.
