'GOAT' Censored: CBFC Cuts 'F**k', 'B**du' And 'M**iru' Words From Vijay-Starrer

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has directed the muting of several derogatory terms in the upcoming Tamil movie 'Greatest of All Time' (GOAT).

The words 'I**tha', 'F**k', 'Baadu' and 'M**iru' have been asked to be muted by the CBFC, according to a report in Bollywood Hungama. However, 'M**iru' has been allowed to use in one scene while 'Desa Th***hai' have also been muted.

The report further mentions that a visible instance of the word 'O**tha' in a scene has been replaced with an alternative visual. Additionally, a scene involving a woman has been deleted, and the intensity of a neck-slitting scene has been reduced, though the duration of the shot remains unchanged, indicating the scene itself was not cut.

Moreover, the name of a liquor brand featured in the film was removed, and smoking disclaimers were added in scenes where characters are seen smoking.

After implementing these changes, the CBFC cleared the film on August 23. The final runtime of 'GOAT' is 179 minutes, or 2 hours and 59 minutes.

'GOAT' is written and directed by Venkat Prabhu. AGS Entertainment-funded film has Prashanth, Prabhu Deva, Ajmal Ameer, Mohan, Jayaram, Sneha, Meenakshi Chaudhary and others in the cast.

The movie is all set to release on September 5 in multiple languages across the globe. The makers have planned to release the IMAX version as well.

It comes at a time when Vijay is preparing to become active in politics. On Thursday, he unveiled the flag of his party Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).
