Three-year-old minor kidnapped from courtyard and raped

New Delhi, Jul 29: A three-year-old girl was kidnapped from her courtyard and raped by unidentified man, said Delhi police.

The girl who was found unconscious and bleeding profusely was taken to Sanjay Gandhi Hospital where her condition was stable but was later shifted to another hospital after her condition became unstable.

"Then she was taken to Maharaja Agrasen Hospital, a private hospital, by the area SHO but she succumbed to death. We have some leads in the case and are literally doing a census count in the area. It was someone who knew the family's movements well," said BS Jaiswal, deputy commissioner of police (outer).

The girl was kidnapped while she was sleeping with her mother in the courtyard after which she was raped and then left behind by the kidnapper. She was found 300 meters away from her house.

The victim lived in Sashi Vihar area of Kanjhawla. A case of death has been registered by the police against the unknown person.
