No shifts in J.K chief ministerships: Farooq Abdullah
Srinagar, Feb.20 (ANI): Union Cbinet Minister and National conference leader, Farooq Abdullah, has said that there will be no change of chief ministership in Jammu and Kashmir for next three years.
"There have been lots of vibrations that have been going on at various times that there is going to be a change in the governance of the top, that there is this three year period that will go to the other side that has already been finalised on the very first day of the coalition starting" said Abdullah.
He added, "There is no question of change of Chief Minister in three years time, it will stay as it is and there is no change as far as the High Command is concerned in Delhi or we are concerned here".
He said this on Saturday while addressing a press conference with his son Omar Abdullah, Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.
On the Occasion, Omar said that decision to revoke the disturbed areas act from certain places in the region is under process and the power to revoke this act lies under state government, but consultations with the federal government is also important.
He further added that the state government is eager to revoke rules that are no longer required in parts of Jammu and Kashmir where militancy has reduced. (ANI)
