Muttemwar demands increased frequency of Ngp-Mum Duranto Exp

Nagpur, Feb 7 (PTI) Former Union Minister and Congress MPVilas Muttemwar has demanded introduction of a new Nagpur-NewDelhi Duranto Express and also increase in the frequency ofNagpur-Mumbai Duranto, which runs on a tri-weekly basis.

Muttemwar, in a letter to Union Railway Minister MamataBanerjee, a copy of which was released to the press, ahead ofthe Rail Budget, has stated that people are finding itextremely difficult to travel from Nagpur to the nationalcapital, due to inadequate availability of reserved seats.

"There is an urgent need for a Nagpur-New Delhi Duranto.

Similary, in view of the rush for Nagpur-Mumbai DurantoExpress, a tri-weekly train, its frequency be increased and itbe run a daily basis," he contended.

Muttemwar has also demanded increase in frequency ofoperational days of Nagpur-Pune Duranto and Nagpur-AhmedabadPrerna Express. He has also demanded introduction of aNagpur-Hyderabad-Bangalore train in view of tremendous growthof trade and business in both the state capitals.
