Rio releases seed money to entrepreneurs
Kohima, Jan 19 (PTI) As part of implementation of thestate government''s "Year of Entrepreneurs" programme, ChiefMinister Neiphiu Rio released seed money of Rs one crore to 84entrepreneurs at a function here today.
Speaking on releasing Entrepreneurs Associates (EA)chief minister Corpus Seed Loan, Rio said, "Politicalsovereignty alone is not sufficient for sustenance maintainingthat we need to be economically sovereign to be recognised."
Raising his slogan of "Do not eat the seeds but eatthe fruits," Rio urged entrepreneurs to maintain consistencyin their ventures, asserting that business means taking riskand initiatives with a motive for making profit.
Emphasising on imperatives of developing bankingculture among the Naga youth, Rio said rights and duties mustalways go together.
The chief minister said that yesterday''s cabinetmeeting decided to extend the Year of Entrepreneurs foranother year.
The Nagaland government announced the year 2010-11 asYear of Entrepreneurs under which various capacity buildinginitiatives and financial assistances had been offered topotential youth since the government sectors can not providejob to all educated youth.
Social worker Niketu Iralu underlined the importanceof integrity and global conscience and encouraged theentrepreneurs to be true to their conscience.
