Land scam: K'taka min Katta Subramanya resigns

Bangalore, Dec 3: Following the Lokayukta's FIR in land scam, Karnataka Information Technology and Bio Technology (IT&BT) Minister Katta Subramanya Naidu has resigned on Friday, Dec 3.

Katta Subramanya Naidu has submitted the resignation letter to Chief Minister BS Yeddyurappa on morning. Later BSY accepted his resignation.

Earlier on Thursday, Dec 2, Karnataka Lokayukta had filed an FIR against Katta Subramanya Naidu, his son Katta Jagadish and 8 others in connection with a multi-crore land scam.

Lokayukta had charged cheating, benami transactions, fabricating documents and forgery against Katta and his kins. According to Lokayukta, Katta and his family members bought land using fraudulent means to form an SEZ for a company called Itaska.
