As threat of cyclonic storm looms large over the state, the state government has requested the army, navy and air force to be ready for deployment of forces in case of necessity.
According to the Visakhapatnam Cyclone Warning Centre, a cyclonic storm is likely to be formed by Tuesday, Nov 2 evening as the depression in the Gulf of Thailand will reach south Andaman Sea in a couple of hours.
Forecasts suggest that coastal Andhra will see more rains, while north coastal districts may receive very heavy rains till Thursday, Nov 4.
Other regions under the heavy rain threat are Andaman and Nicobar Islands and the state of Tamil Nadu.
