Brit cabby from hell may have raped 500 women passengers

London, Mar 16 (ANI): Detectives are fearing that John Worboys, the taxi driver who has been accused of raping his female passengers, could have a victim count of over 500 women.

After his conviction on March 13, the 51-year-old London taxi driver and former stripper is facing jail for a string of offences against passengers, including rape.

But, according to investigators, many of the women he attacked have yet to come forward.

"Police are convinced there are many more victims out there," the Daily Star quoted a source as saying.

The source added: "They are scouring the globe, Europe in particular, because Worboys travelled abroad a lot as a stripper."

Worboys stood trial at Croydon Crown Court, and was found guilty of 19 charges of drugging and sexually assaulting female passengers.

A jury heard how he lured victims by inviting them to share champagne to toast Lottery and casino wins and then spiked their drinks. (ANI)
