TN CM Karunanidhi hospitalized

Chennai, Jan 26: M Karunanidhi, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam supremo was hospitalized in the wee hours on Monday, Jan 26 after he complained of back ache. Doctors of Ramachandra Medical College hospital advised the Chief Minister to take complete rest for a week.

A press release issued by the CM's office states that Karunanidhi's all major engagements during this period are postponed. The release said that CM had been suffering from back ache due to stiffened muscles. On Monday, Jan 26, Karunanidhi did not attend the ceremonial Republic Day parade in which Governor S S Barnala unfurled the national tricolour at the Marinas.

Doctors have adviced not to entertain visitors and distrub the Chief Minister at the hospital.
