Dera Sacha Sauda: CBI Probe Into another murder sought

Chandigarh, Oct 22 (UNI) A Dera Sacha Sauda follower today sought probe by the Central Bureau of Investigations in the alleged murder charge of a former Dera manager Faquir Chand against Sirsa-based Dera head Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh, already facing trial in two murder, cases besides a rape case, After the preliminary hearing, Punjab and Haryana High Court Justice S D Anand issued notice for December three to the CBI director, Haryana Home Secretary, also district police chief, Sirsa.

The petition, under section 482 of Criminal Procedure Code read with Article 226 of the Constitution, has been filed by one Ram Kumar Bishnoi, a resident of village Diwan Khera tehsil Dabwali district Sirsa, who claims to be a follower of the Dera.

It has been submitted that in view of the confession by one of the accused in this murder before the media, the CBI could be well directed to probe the murder of Faquir Chand straightaway.

In this connection, the petitioner quoted extracts from the confessional statement of Gobind Singh, former driver of Dera head, narrating details of how Faquir Chand who was kept in a secret room, had been done away with allegedly on the instructions of Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh.

Details reveal the deceased was taken to village Fulkan where he was beaten to death and the body thrown into the canal, the petition said.
