Gitanjali Group to display Diamond studded shoes at LFW

Mumbai, Oct 17 (UNI) Bollywood actress Tanushree Dutta unveiled here today a pair of diamond encrusted silver shoes that will be displayed at the Lakme Fashion Week (LFW).

Made by Gitanjali Group, the shoe has been created using 14.50 grams of silver and 3,390 diamonds totalling 19.68 cts.

Talking to UNI, Gitanjali Group International Business, Vice president, Giles Moutounet said ''The Lakme Fashion Week is an excellent platform for new designs and products. Fashion consciousness in India is still restricted to only the well-heeled, whereas in places like Paris, Milan and Singapore, the average person on the street is well versed with the latest trends. So it will take a few years for India to integrate itself with global trends and fashions.'' Outlining future plans, Moutounet said that the company's newly opened ''Bezel'' concept stores will house new range of watches from Italian watchmaker Moraletto, which will make Cavalli, Roberto Cavalli, Pirelli, Sector and Phillip brand of watches.

''We have a vision to match global standards in terms of human resources, production and marketing,'' he said.
