Ahmedabad blasts: Mumbai Police arrests five
Mumbai, Sep 24: The Central Police of Mumbai has arrested a group of five in connection with the Ahmedabad blasts of Saturday, July 26 on Wednesday, Sep 24. The arrested five belong to the Indian Mujahideen and the ATS have also recovered explosives from them. The arrested group's next target of bombings was in Mumbai.
Mumbai Police in a press conference said, "Mohammed Sadiq Sheikh (Programme Engineer) is the mastermind behind the blasts and all the accused are technical experts. Mohammed Ansar is a Software Engineer, Arif is an expert in timers and Atif, the key accused in the Delhi blasts of Saturday, Sep 13 who died in the Delhi encounter was directed by Sadiq". All the five arrested belong to Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh.
The Police have assured that Mumbai is safe now.
