Dr Patil's kin to get Rs five lakh

Mumbai, Sep 23 (UNI) Maharashtra government has announced financial assistance of Rs five lakh to the kin of Chandrakant Patil, who died after lightning struck him when he was providing medical assistance in flood-ravaged Bihar.

An official release said here today that the amount would be given from the Chief Minister's discretionary fund and Dr Patil's sister would be given a job in the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation.
