Joint exercises between Indo-UK armies conclude in Salisbury, UK

New Delhi, Sep 19 (UNI) The 22-day joint exercise, organised to increase inter-operability between the armies of India and the UK, culminated in Salisbury in the United Kingdom today.

The three-week training and exercise, involving the Mechanised Infantry troops of the Indian Army, between key strategic partners was a golden opportunity for both armies to train together and gain from each others experience, according to the Defence Ministry.

While the Indian contingent comprised the 16 Mechanised Infantry Regiment, the British troops were from the Third Mercian Regiment.
