Dreaded dacoit slain in police encounter
Morena, MP, Sep 16 (UNI) A dreaded dacoit, who was carrying a reward of Rs one lakh on his head, was killed by police during an encounter in this district's Deogarh police station limits bordering Rajasthan this morning , police said today.
Superintendent of Police Santosh Kumar Singh said Rajasthan-based Vakeela Gurjar, who was wanted in about 25 cases, had crossed Chambal river and arrived at border of Madhya Pradesh from Rajasthan with the intention of committing some crime. However, his five companions managed to escape.
A gun and a few cartridges were seized from the spot.
