Ailing passenger arrives dead at airport
Chennai, Aug 17: An ailing passenger, who came from Kuala Lumpur in a wheel-chair, was declared dead on arrival at the Anna International Terminal here.
Airport sources said the passenger, Sadiq Ali, who arrived dead on Saturday, Aug 16 was hailing from Devakottai in Sivaganga district and suffered an ailment while working in a hotel in Kuala Lumpur.
After getting treatment for about two months, he decided to return to his native place and boarded a Malaysian Airlines flight to Chennai.
He complained of uneasiness and asked for a glass of water from the crew. Thereafter, he collapsed immediately. He was referred to the airport doctors, who declared him dead.
The body was taken to Chromepet Government Hospital, where the post-mortem was done. The body was later handedover to the parents, who arrived from Sivaganga this morning.
