Abduction rumours create chaos in Midnapore
Midnapur, Aug 17 (UNI) A huge chaos developed in Joypur SC/ST High school on the independence day when about 2000 anxious guardians rushed to the school to enquire about their children hearing rumor of their kidnap.
Fudan Bala Mahto, a 99 year old lady, died up heart strokes hearing the news that her two grand daughters studying in the school have been kidnapped.
Rumour spread in about 15 villages around Joypur school that at least 10 students both boys and girls were kidnapped from the school when Independence Day was being celebrated, Sanatan De, acting headmaster of the school said.
The celebration was stopped for the time being.
I attended to every such complaint but found none was missing, Mr De said.
