JKLF protests alleged CRPF atrocities in Kashmir
Srinagar, Aug 14 (UNI) Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) Chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik along with hundreds of his supporters today staged a dharna at historic Lal Chowk near here to protest the alleged atrocities of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
Mr Malik took to the streets along with his supporters alleging that the CRPF personnel damaged window panes of hundreds of houses and mosques and other religious places in the summer capital and on its outskirts yesterday.
Raising pro-freedom, anti-CRPF and Hindu fundamentalist slogans, they later marched from JKLF headquarter at Maisuma through Budshah chowk, Jehangir chowk, Hari Singh High Street and Amira Kadal before sitting on dharna at Lal Chowk.
They alleged that the CRPF damaged the house holds, more than 50 vehicles and beat up inmates.
The JKLF also condemned the CRPF firing on peaceful processionists at a village in Pulwama district last night in which four people were killed and more than 15 injured.
