Goel unhappy over modernisation programme in Khurda Road station
Bhubaneswar, Aug 09(UNI) East Coast Railways(ECoR) General Manager A K Goel has taken serious exception to the slow progress of the modernisation of Khurda Road station, considered to be an extremely important station in the state.
Mr Goel who inspected Khurda Road Station today, asked the staff to complete the work on a war- footing. He said the modernization of Khurda Road Station would help ease the constraints of train operations.
He said the modernization process could not afford to wait any more since a number of Railway Expansion Plans are linked to it.
Mr Goel directed the construction authorities to gear up on early completion of the Route Relay Interlocking (RRI) programme which would ensure better signaling movements.
Stressing the need for improvement of all passenger amenities at the station, the ECoR General Manager called for early completion of upgradation of all facilities available including Reservation and Booking Offices.
