Five bags pepper worth Rs 52,000 seized, six arrested
Madikeri, Aug 6(UNI) Virajpet police have arrested six culprits involved in pepper theft at Ammathi village in the taluk and seized from them five bags of stolen Pepper worth Rs 52,000 yesterday.
Police said that the culprits had broke into the house of Mr Kamal a week back in his absence and after robbing the pepper bags had sold it to different merchants.
The theft came to light yesterday when Mr Kamal returned home.
On receiving a complaint from Mr Kamal, police swing into action and found that duplicate keys were used to open the front door before robbing pepper bags, All the six accused were arrested and produced before the court.
