Relief from heavy rain, but waterlogging still haunts people

Patna, Jul 21 (UNI) Even as heavy rain subsided, people in the city were still reeling under severe waterlogging today.

Local Met office recorded three mm of rainfall during the past 24 hours.

Lakhs of residents in the Kankarbagh, Rajendranagar, Sri Krishna Nagar, Dariapur, Machuatoli and Patliputra Colony were still facing problems of waterlogging.

Vehicular movement in Patna and the adjoining areas was affected as most of the roads went under knee-deep water.

The overall temperature in the state capital was recorded one degree less at 28.9 degree Celcius as against yesterday's 29.6 degree Celcius.

But the minimum temperature increased by one degree and was recorded at 26.4 degree Celcius, compared to yesterday's 25.4 degree Celcius.

Moreover, the local Met office predicted generally cloudy sky with the possibility of one or two spells of moderate shower or thunderstorm during the next 24 hours.
