Senior TDP leader quits party

Hyderabad, July 18 (UNI) Another senior TDP leader C Ramachandraiah, MP, today quit the party, bringing down the curtains on the speculation over his ''unhappiness'' with party President N Chandrababu Naidu's leadership.

Announcing the decision to quit after participating in a rally organised by his supporters at his home village Koppuladoddi in Kadapa district, Mr Ramachandraiah alleged that Mr Naidu was implementing his own agenda, forgetting the ideals of party founder and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N T Rama Rao.

He said a decision on joining the proposed political party to be floated by the Telugu matinee idol Chiranjeevi would be taken after consulting his supporters.

According to party sources, another TDP leader and former MLA M V Ramana Reddy has also decided to quit the party as soon as possible. He was elected as MLA from Proddutur constituency in Kadapa district in the last elections.
