MHI team from Japan visits HEC
Ranchi, Jun 12 (UNI) A team from Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI), Japan, today visited the Heavy Engineering Corporation (HEC) to explore the possibility of manufacturing their items at HEC.
The five-membered team comprising Ichiro Shimasaki, Toshihiko Miyazaki, Mr Yuji Hikiri, Mr Hiroyuki Amemiya, Katsunori Shinoda visited HEC to assess the machining&fabrication capability.
MHI has started a joint venture with L&T at Hazira to manufacture power plant equipment to cater to the needs of thermal power units in the range of 600 to 800MW categories.
Official sources said that MHI intend HEC to be a major supplier in their project.
Official sources said that earlier also the team had visited HEC and examined manufacturing capability of FFP for making casting&forgings for their requirement and machine tools at HMTP.
