Cabs, bus Operators Assn to observe indefenite strike
Hyderabad, May 31 (UNI) The Greater Hyderabad Cabs and Bus Operators Association, General Secretary, Nizamuddin today said the operators would go on indefinite strike from June five protesting against the Andhra Pradesh Government's decision to impose VAT on the operators with retrospective effect for past five years.
According to a press release here, Mr Nizamuddin said all car and bus services for corporates, IT and BPO companies would be suspended indefinitely from June five till their demands would be met by the state government.
He said the move by the state government asking the cab and bus operators to pay VAT for the past five years was ''unjustified and the operators cannot pay such huge amounts.'' UNI AP GKT 2040
