Irrigantion project affected farmers take out march

Kolhapur, May 28 (UNI) Farmers, affected by irrigation dam projects in the district, today marched to the collectorate to press for their long-pending demand of rehabilitation.

The agitating farmers, led by Dr Bharat Patankar and Rajaram Patil, gathered at the city's Townhall Garden under the banner of 'Maharashtra state irrigation dam project affected farmers' and marched to collectorate.

The leaders later met Collector Dileep Jadhav and submitted a memorandum of their demands.
